Terms of service

 

The terms and conditions of repairs as carried out by "Louped" are as follows:

 

1. OWNERSHIP

The Customer confirms that they have legal ownership of the Repaired Items and the legal right to enter this contract with the Repairer. 

2. ESTIMATE OF REPAIR

Both Parties agree to the Repaired Items being inspected by the Repairer. The Customer agrees that the the Repairer may deconstruct their watch as part of the inspection process, including but not limited to removal of the case back to inspect the movement, and removal of components like the pushers, crown, glass, dial, hands, and bracelet in order to properly assess the work required. The prices stated on the initial enquiry may be subject to change following inspection.

3. FINAL QUOTE

After inspection, The Repairer will share a final quote for work. This will be communicated to the Customer by email. Confirmation in writing that the Customer is willing to proceed with the quoted repairs will be taken as legally binding. Once approved, repairs cannot be cancelled.

4. REPAIRS

The Repairer will communicate an expected completion date. This is an estimation and the Repairer withholds the right change the expected completion date, particularly where additional parts are required and will take more time to arrive (outside of the Repairer's control).
In instances where parts are worn or faulty and require replacement, The Repairer will change parts on an exchange basis. Removed components will not be returned to the Customer.
The completion of a repair undertaken by The Repairer is not a guarantee of authenticity on any timepiece. The Repairer reserves the right to withhold products which have been notified as stolen goods until such a time as a conclusive investigation has been carried out by the police and a verdict decided from a competent judge rebuts this notification in favour of The Customer. The Repairer reserves the right to refuse the repair of watches deemed to be counterfeit.
The Repairer does not accept liability for any adjustment in watch value for replacing parts in order to ensure that the timepiece watch will function within a satisfactory manner
All other rights resulting from the faulty execution of our services are expressly excluded. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by accidents, water damage, lack of care or negligence. In any event, The Repairer's liability will be limited to a maximum of £50,000.

5. WARRANTY

The Repairer agreed to offer a 24 month warranty on full service work carried out. In the event of a fault covered by this warranty, The Repairer will, at their discretion and without cost, repair or replace any spare parts and/or rectify any faults as identified by The Repairer.

6. SHIPPING

The Repairer will arrange for an insured courier to collect the Repaired Items from the Customer within a 12 hour window of the Customer's choosing (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). Not excluding other terms within this agreement, the Repairer agrees to pay for all courier fees associated with the collection of the Repaired Items.

7. PAYMENT

The Customer will be contacted once the repair is complete to collect payment for the works carried out, before returning The Repaired Items to the Customer by post.
If The Repairer doesn't receive payment 365 days of initial contact to collect payment and after additional reasonable attempts to contact The Customer based on the information provided when the Repaired Items was initially supplied to us, The Repaired Items will be considered abandoned and The Repairer reserves the right to sell The Repaired Items to recover the cost of repair and storage.

8. OTHER

By sending The Repaired Items to the Repairer, it is deemed that The Customer has read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

9. APPLICABLE BY LAW

This Agreement and the interpretation of its terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
